
LANCASTER, Pa.—High Construction Inc. today announced that it was selected to build a 173,144-square-foot manufacturing facility and office in Lebanon Valley Business Park, South Lebanon Township, for Schott Pharmaceutical Packaging Inc.
A formal groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site this morning. Secretary Samuel McCullough of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic
Development (DCED), Jeff Sterner, vice president and general manager of High Construction, and Wolf Weiss, general manager of Schott Pharmaceutical Packaging, spoke at the ceremony. The ceremony was emceed by Bob McNary, president of the Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation.
Greenfield Architects Ltd., Lancaster, Pa., designed the facility which will feature a masonry and composite metal panel exterior. The one-story facility includes a manufacturing plant with mechanical mezzanines, and 15,000-square feet of office, conference, cafeteria, and locker room space.
Schott Pharmaceutical Packaging's new facility will meet the company's continuous business expansion and will replace the company's existing 73,500-square-foot plant in Cleona, Pa., as well as a separate warehouse of 37,500-square-feet. The project will create at least 120 jobs and retain 150 jobs.
Schott Pharmaceutical Packaging Inc., is located in Cleona, Pa., and produces 1.5 million pharmaceutical glass vials, ampoules, and cartridges each day. It services all major injectable drug manufacturers and employs over 150 people, in a three-shift operation. The company has built its leadership and reputation on the use of fine materials, comprehensive product engineering, and customer-specific consulting.
